31st Annual Golf Classic Raises Funds for COVID-19 Support

Christian Health’s (CHCC) 31st Annual Golf Classic was held on Tuesday, September 1, at Knoll Country Club West in Parsippany. More than 100 golfers participated and special precautions allowed golfers to have a fun day while remaining safe. Proceeds from the event, totaling $130,000, will support CHCC’s Annual Fund in response to COVID-19.

“CHCC’s Golf Classic is such a fun event and this year was no exception,” said Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, President and CEO of Christian Health. “We are grateful for the outpouring of support from our golfers, sponsors, and broader community during these challenging times. Every dollar raised in support of CHCC’s Annual Fund will have a significant impact during these unprecedented times.”

The successful event was organized with the support of volunteers from the Golf Classic Committee led by co-chairs Rick De Bel of Lincoln Park, CHCC Board of Trustees Chair, and Edward Nieuwenhuis, DPM, of Wyckoff. Committee members included Darcy Bickert of Midland Park; John Gunther of Glen Rock; William J. Haggerty of Glen Rock, CHCC Foundation Board Vice Chair; Sue Kelly of Ridgewood; Don and Marion Klingen of Wanaque; Julie Lee of Mahwah; Carl Rizzo, Esq., of Wyckoff; Gordon Stanley of Wyckoff, and Ellsworth P.
