Christian Health (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently held its 27th Annual Golf Classic at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany, raising a record-setting $143,000. The event attracted 134 golfers and 24 dedicated volunteers on a picturesque day. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will go directly to support CHCC’s 2016 Annual Fund, which will be used for renovations and improvements within The Longview Assisted Living Residence. Kuiken Brothers Co., Pharmscript, and WB Mason were Corporate Sponsors. Atlantic, Tomorrow’s Office was a Front Nine Sponsor, and Executive Care and Patient Care Associates were Back Nine Sponsors. The evening culminated with an awards dinner program and a successful live auction by auctioneer Bob Milligan of Morgan Stanley. Each year, volunteers from the Golf Classic Committee organize the annual outing for CHCC. The committee is co-chaired by Rick De Bel of Lincoln Park and Edward Nieuwenhuis Jr., DPM, of Wyckoff. Committee members included Darcy Bickert of Midland Park; John Gunther and Bill Haggerty, both of Glen Rock; Don and Marion Klingen of Wanaque; Julie Lee of Hawthorne; Bill Munn of Nanuet, NY; and Gordon Stanley of Wyckoff. “Christian Health’s mission resonates with people,” said Mr. De Bel. “And our support continues to remain strong. As a result, this year’s golf outing raised the most funds to date.” Ken Ogden of LECESSE Construction, West Henrietta, NY, scored the lowest gross score in the tournament. New this year was a Team Best Ball Low Net prize, which went to Sister Frances Demarest, Mike Ludwig, Stephen Ludwig and Dennis Mull, all of Wayne.
