Sandra De Young, RN, EdD

Vice Chair

Sandra De Young, Ed.D., who returned to the Christian Health Board of Trustees in 2018, presently serves as vice chair. Dr. De Young is also chair of the board’s Trustee Relations Committee and a member of the Quality/Joint Conference and Strategic Planning Committees. As a member of the executive committee, she is an ex officio member of all board committees. Dr. De Young, who previously served on the board from 1988 to 2017, has held many important roles, including chair, vice chair, chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, and member of the Executive, Joint Conference, and Personnel committees. Professionally, she most recently served as the interim provost at William Paterson University, an opportunity that drew her out of retirement. Dr. De Young retired as dean of the College of Science and Health at William Paterson University. She previously served on the boards of Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, and Valley Home Care Inc. Dr. De Young is a resident of The Vista on Christian Health’s Wyckoff, New Jersey, campus and a member of the Living Word Reformed Church in North Haledon.
