WYCKOFF, NJ (February 12, 2026) – Norma Tate, CNA Lead at Christian Health’s Heritage Manor, was recently honored among the 17 recipients of LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware’s (LANJDE) 2026 Excellence in Aging Services Awards. The individuals and organizations, who were chosen from over 150 member communities, exemplify leadership, innovation, and dedication to enhancing the lives of the older adults they serve.
Norma was one of seven honored with the Excellence in Care Award. The honorees of this award demonstrate extraordinary talent, expertise, and dedication in delivering exceptional service to residents.
“When you picture the person you’d want taking care of your loved one – someone who is genuinely caring, fully invested, and truly dedicated to older adults – Norma is that person,” said Myrna Gomez, CSW, LNHA, Executive Director-Administrator of Heritage Manor and Southgate Special Care.
“The Excellence in Care Award honors caregivers who truly elevate the lives of older adults through skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment,” said Andrew Van Orden, VP of Operations for Life Plan & Long-Term Care Services at Christian Health, Administrator of Windmere, and LANJDE board member. “Norma exemplifies this standard every day. Her dedication to dignity, comfort, and exceptional care sets an impressive example that inspires her colleagues and makes a meaningful difference for those we serve.”
Norma, who was also recently honored by her colleagues as the quarterly Superstar at Christian Health, shared her thoughts on receiving the award and what keeps her dedicated to the organization’s mission to provide high-quality, person-centered care.
“I am humbled by this recognition for my commitment to going above and beyond to provide compassionate care,” said Norma. “To do great work is to love what you do, and I truly love my residents – they are what motivate me the most.”
The recipients were celebrated at an awards ceremony on February 11, at the Boathouse at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey.
