Christian Health Leader Elected to National Board of Directors at CHC: Creating Healthier Communities

Wyckoff, NJ (February 18, 2026) — Valerie Simon, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Christian Health, has been elected to the Board of Directors of CHC: Creating Healthier Communities, a national organization dedicated to advancing high-impact nonprofit initiatives that improve health outcomes in communities throughout the country.

Simon’s appointment reflects both her national leadership and Christian Health’s unique approach to delivering a full continuum of care that supports the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals across New Jersey.

“As health care continues to evolve, our responsibility extends beyond delivering exceptional services. We are called on to strengthen the overall health and well-being of the communities we serve,” said Stephen J. Dumke, LNHA, FACHE, President and CEO of Christian Health. “Valerie’s election to the CHC board underscores our commitment to advancing collaborative solutions that expand access, improve outcomes, and enhance quality of life.”

CHC: Creating Healthier Communities brings together business and community leaders to align mission-driven organizations with strategic resources and partnerships that address the social, behavioral, and clinical factors shaping community health. In her board role, Simon will collaborate with national leaders to advance nonprofit initiatives that create measurable, sustainable impact for people and families across America.

“Breaking down the barriers to health that impact so many communities demands alignment between mission, strategy, and meaningful action,” said Simon. “Through our integrated approach to senior living, mental health services, and rehabilitation, Christian Health meets individuals where they are and supports them at every stage of their journey. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to CHC’s mission and help advance stronger, healthier communities nationwide.”

Simon brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in health care and nonprofit marketing and communications. As a member of Christian Health’s executive leadership team, she drives growth, broadens access to care, and strengthens community engagement in alignment with the organization’s mission to foster health, healing, and wellness for people of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with the Christian principles on which it was founded.

Prior to joining Christian Health, Simon led marketing and communications for innovative health care organizations, including Lumeris and Atlantic Health System. She has earned numerous national and regional honors, including being named Healthcare Marketing Innovator of the Year by the Millennium Alliance and Public Relations Professional of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America’s New Jersey chapter. She was also selected as a 2019 Aspen Scholar.
