Remembering 9/11

At the request of President Trump, Christian Health lowers the flags on its campuses in Wayne and Wyckoff to half-staff this Monday, September 11th, 2017 from sunrise to sunset to mark the 16 year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in suburban Pennsylvania.  September 11, known now as Patriot Day, serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning.  The President also asks Americans to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 am Eastern time, the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center that morning.

As we remember the terrible tragedy that occurred 16 years ago on September 11 and the brave first responders that showed tremendous heroism in the hours, days and weeks thereafter, please join me in praying for peace in our world and for those who continue to mourn the loss of beloved family members and friends who perished that day.
